jaitley-and-naveenFrom Editor’s Desk: A lot of eyebrows raised over Arun Jaitley’s lavish praise showered on Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and his Government followed by the Luncheon Meeting between the duo on the sidelines of #MakeInOdisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar.

It’s no secret that PM Modi trying his best to woo all regional powers to stand by him and work together to develop their respective states. Jayalalithaa, Naveen and Nitish have showed some inclination.

Barring Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal, all other CMs are maintaining political rivalry, but not enmity. They are working in tandem with the Centre to get maximum benefits for their States.

If Naveen is working closely with successive Governments at the Centre, it’s not a bad sign. But, if he uses his relations only to maintain his clean and soft image, get certificates of appreciation and do nothing for the State, that would be disastrous.
