Debate on attack on Bhansali & Distortion of History by Filmmakers
Attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali is highly condemnable, as nobody is allowed to take law into hands.
But, is it not a fact that Makers of Films and Serials distort the Historical facts and dilute the Characters, thus hurting the sentiments of common people?
Deepak Kumar Prusty: And, if we go by data, history is diluted for certain section of people only very courageously – leading to provocation and unpleasant situation.
Umasankar Sahu: Why Condemn !!! Bhansali is not an illiterate personality.. If he is a most experienced film director/ maker, he should be careful before making any such films which hurts any of human communities or bring communal tensions in the society.
Before walking on the way, one should know where the road is going and where he has to go… The Karani Sena attacked Bhansali…. yes… it’s true.. but say why?
Its not only a matter or Rajputanas, its a matter of our enriched Indian History. Why these idiots make films, by diluting our History always, which hurts crores of Hindu hearts.. ? This happens because most Hindus are silent viewers only.. Why these film makers not making such films which hurt other communities except Hindus?
Because if they do so, same night julush will come out opposing them and candlelight march will start and news channels will cry saying it’s controversial, it’s controversial….!! But for Hindus no media to cry, no political party to raise voice, even no Hindus take this seriously..!
If Karni Sena has taken the law into their hands, the film makers should realize their mistake and take care of their strategy of making anti-Hindu films.
Before making a film, Producer, Director and even the Actors/Actresses also should examine the story. To make a good story they have no right to dilute our glorious history. If they do so, people should come out to protest against them and the film, people should boycott the films made of diluted history…
Manoj Mohanty: Nobody has the right to distort our decades old ‘Heritage & History’ for their own heinous cause. This type of act must be stopped.
Vijaya Singh: I am with what the Karni Sena did. In no event of time did Rani Padmavati ever even thought of romancing that invader. She committed Johar soon after. How dared Bhansali try to show such crap when he was pre-informed? I wish these so called secular film makers would stay away from our Rajput history; it would be better for them.
Satyaswarup Mohanty: I too feel so; Rani Padmini had no such affair with Allauddin, in fact she was highly antagonistic towards him and committed jauhar. There is a need to be circumspect before tampering with historical characters.
Rahul Barrick: The act is strongly condemned by all classes. But sometimes these filmmakers are responsible for such attacks when they hurt the sentiment of common people by altering the real facts in their film.
Chennubhotla Bapujee: It happens with Mythological films also, but the people should neglect that particular aspects except where they show too much adverse/contradicting characterisation of the original ones.
Bhawani Mahapatra: Everybody should now that freedom of expressions is not absolute. No one should hide behind freedom of expressions and creativity. Few super scholars always trying to contradict fact and figures of history, in fact such people love to hurt sentiment of common people, indulge in controversy for their commercial gain.
Akshay Rout: After end of British Raj in India, history books were written and rewritten with concocted data and doctored facts at the behest of our first secular PM of India. Proper facts and data not put forth with clarity. favour was shown to people close to their coteries. Real heroes ignored. I, as a student couldn’t be able to know the real facts. Subsequently, the history was depicted with distortion. My request to film fraternity to provide entertainment, but not at the cost of distortion of history.
Manoranjan Das: It is not good to hurt people’s sentiments.
Chakradhar Sarangi: Excess of everything is bad. Tolerance limit crossed. Nobody is happy to take law into own hand. But our judicial system is biased towards a particular community.
Prafulla Roy: But being a citizen of democratic country, we can not take law in our hand. We can go to court and file against Bhansali and get stay order or justice.
Sai Kumar: My question – Is history as presented in books for studies accurate?
